After having completed her doctoral degree at the University of Antwerp (Belgium) in 2013, Liesje Coertjens became Professor on ‘Assessment for Learning’ at the Université catholique de Louvain (Belgium). She is responsible for courses on educational assessment, designing learning environments and advanced statistics. Her research interest include peer-assessment of performance assessment. More specifically, she investigates concerns with reliability and validity during (peer assessment of) performance assessment and their link with the grading method used, the role of interpersonal variables and how students cognitively process and use the feedback received from their peers.
