Gabriela Czarnek is a post-doctoral researcher at Jagiellonian University (Krakow, Poland). In 2018 she earned her PhD in psychology under supervision of Prof. Malgorzata Kossowska (Jagiellonian University) and Dr. Michael Richter (Liverpool John Moores University). Her work focused on social cognition and psychophysiology especially in the context of socio-emotional aging. She also has professional experience in applied settings. She worked as a psychometrician, where her focus was on psychometric modeling for personality traits and attitudes, and later as a researcher in the gaming industry where she worked on developing professional simulators for firefighters’ training. Her current interest concentrates on attitudes and beliefs toward science as well as aging and social psychological research using computational methods.
